Michelle Lomazzo

Michelle Lomazzo is a Licenced Paralegal and owner of Lomazzo Worker’s Compensation Appeals PC. While she is located in Windsor, Michelle represents clients in their worker’s compensation appeals from across Ontario. For more than 30 years, she has exclusively represented injured workers and successfully appealed thousands of claims before the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.

Over that time, Michelle has shown her in-depth knowledge of the Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and provided prompt, individualized attention. She fiercely advocates for her clients and is unafraid to take on even the biggest of companies. She is experienced in a wide range of benefit appeals, including loss of earnings; mental stress and PTSD claims; survivors’ benefits; terminations due to work injury; and unemployability. In the community, Michelle served as Director of the Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital Board for eight years, and the Boards of Family Services (Windsor-Essex) and the Homeless Shelter for Women.

As a Bencher – the first paralegal Bencher elected outside the GTA – she is the Chair of the Paralegal Standing Committee, as well as currently sitting as a Bencher on the following committees; The Professional Regulation Committee, The Treasurer’s Appointment Advisory Group, the Audit & Finance Committee, the Access to Justice Committee, the Treasurer’s Strategic and Planning Committee and the Proceeding Authorization Committee. She was an Adjudicator with the Law Society Tribunal adjudicating discipline matters involving lawyers and paralegals for eight years from 2012 until she joined the PAC.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Windsor.
